Dr. Schloemer

Dr. Karen Schloemer is a very talented and innovative physician, specializing in pharmacological management, fibromyalgia, and female pelvic and abdominal pain.  Additionally, Dr. Schloemer performs various interventional procedures for her patients. She is one very few female pain physicians in central Indiana and has a special interest in female health issues.

Born in Charlottesville, VA and raised in Indianapolis, Dr. Schloemer received her undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University, graduating magna cum laude in 1997.  While in college, Dr. Schloemer was elected to both the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society.  She earned her medical degree in 2001from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also completed her Anesthesiology residency in 2005.  Before joining Center for Pain Management, she completed a fellowship in pain management at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill.
