Center for Pain Management has special surgery centers at all three of its Indiana locations: Indianapolis, Greenwood, and Lafayette. These facilities provide a convenient option for patients to receive minor outpatient surgical procedures. Dr. Edward Kowlowitz, founder of Center for Pain Management, started the first Center for Special Surgery in an effort to give patients maximum access to multiple pain management services under one roof. Those efforts have continued and resulted in a surgery center for each location. This design allows physicians at all facilities in Indiana to offer their care, diagnostic imaging, surgical services, physical therapy, psychological services, and medication management without requiring a long commute to another location.
Each surgery center offers a variety of minimally invasive procedures for pain management, not traditional back surgeries such as spinal fusions or laminectomies. Instead, the treatments are outpatient and require a much shorter recovery time than average spinal surgeries.
