“When I am working with patients, I focus on each of our areas of expertise. The patient is the expert on themselves and their life, while my expertise is helping patients change thinking style, actions, and approach to problems to help improve function and manage pain more effectively. With this approach, we can often find ways to improve patients’ daily lives beyond what medical interventions alone can do.”
