Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and X-rays are two of the most important technologies for diagnosing conditions that cause pain. Whether you have an acute injury or disorder of the spine, these scans can help your doctor determine the best course of treatment.
Our Indianapolis radiology team has a combined 40 years of experience, and we offer emergency scheduling. If you need an MRI please ask your doctor to call us at (317) 706-7226. Physicians may also fax referral forms to (317) 706-3417.
Center for Pain Management’s MRI machine produces high-quality scans in as little as 20 minutes, which means less inconvenience for patients and less turnaround time for referring physicians who need to review the results. We are also in-network for Anthem.
The 70cm bore (the opening) is larger than the bore of older MRI machines, and our new scanner also has a higher patient-weight limit of 500 pounds.
Most people who come to Center for Pain Management for an MRI have had several MRIs before, and many people feel anxiety about “going into the tube” again. Our new machine isn’t a tube, though – it’s shallow (shaped more like a doughnut) and open at both ends, so if you’re getting a scan of your lower back, your head won’t need to be inside the machine. The opening in this machine is also generously sized for maximum patient comfort.
The 1.5T Magnetom Aera MRI scanner uses the same magnet technology that’s found in hospital MRI machines. Its cloud-based image system allows our technicians to immediately share high-quality scans with referring physicians and with our local radiology partner, ProScan Imaging. ProScan provides our Dotarem® contrast agent – the safest and most stable agent – so we can produce the most detailed and clear images possible for referring physicians who need a contrast scan.
Center for Pain Management welcomes MRI referrals. With our new Siemens 1.5T Magnetom Aera technology, we can produce high-quality images quickly. Fax referrals to: (317) 706-3417.
