Do you want to learn better ways to manage your chronic pain? Our Chronic Pain 101 outpatient group psychotherapy program may be an option. This is a skill-building pain treatment program for those living with chronic pain.
With guidance from our licensed clinical psychologist, group members learn techniques for managing pain, how to cope with the emotional impact of chronic pain, and how to identify situations or stressors that may increase pain. Groups meet for 50 minutes weekly at our Indianapolis office, for eight to 10 weeks. Contact us to see if you qualify for our skill-building Chronic Pain 101 group therapy treatment.*
Each week, group members learn new skills that can help them manage their pain. Some of the sessions focus on “unlearning” thought patterns or behaviors that may contribute to pain or depression. Patients also explore how pain affects their relationships, sleep, and mood.
Our clinical psychologist has designed the group therapy course to help patients take charge of their own health. Patients get the most benefit from this treatment when they attend all sessions.
If you’d like to learn some strategies that can help you manage your pain both now and in the future, group therapy might be for you. Please fill out the form on this page, or contact our psychologist to find out if you qualify for group therapy:
